Huipil - Chichicastenango, Woman's H_CC_16_02

Chichicastenago Woman's Huipil ---   Doves and flowers as well as striking geometric design and colors on this brocaded woman's huipil.  Unusual colors, oranges and shades of autumn in the brocade.  Back-strap loomed, traditional 3-panel construction with black background (I am unsure if acrylic or cotton).   Sun design embroidered around head hole. Randa design between panels is actually part of the center panel bocade.

Condition: Good used condition with a few loose threads. Selvages on all panels with some looseness along bottom of  several of the selvages. Side seams are open (could be easily sewn closed if preferred).  As with many Chichicastenago huipils, there is some unevenness to the length of the panels.  It could be hemmed to a even length, if desired.  Fits over my 22" circumference head.
