Chajul Girls's Huipil --- Double headed eagle and other birds brocaded into this two panel child's huipil . It was woven on a back-strap loom with a coffee/chocholate brown base material. The huipil's soft base material has the feel of what Mayan women often call "Aleman" and is most likely a soft rayon thread.
Condition: Good shape for a child's huipil with a few loose threads and a some uneven wear. Some looseness in weave nearer to the selvege All panels have reasonably good selvages of uneven lengths with some wear

- Length: 15-17 inches
- Neck: 5 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep
* Remember the huipil's width should be at least 1.5 to 2 times your shoulders width, to allow for fitting your frame and to cover part of your upper arms
