Santiago Atitlan Girls's Huipil --- Finely hand embroidered birds, flowers and greenery embroidered on this Santiago Atitlan Girls Huipil. Transitional style between the detailed embroidery in small squares and birds embroidered around the neck. Thread of the embroidery has little bit of brillantte that gives it a bit of sparkle. Light blue base material hand-woven on backstrap loom with lavender brown vertical stripes. Sides seams are open (could easily be sewn closed). Two of the bottom panel are selvage finished, the other two are stitched.
Condition: Moderately good used condition. The huipil shows some wear, a few loose threads and light spotting and greying. In nice shape for a childs used huipi.
