Chichicastenago Woman's Huipil --- Striking geometric design and colors on this brocaded woman's huipil. Back-strap loomed, traditional 3-panel construction with black background. Sun design embroidered around head hole. Embroidered randa between panels. Purchased from Maria in 2016.
Condition: Good used condition with a few loose threads. Light even fading of black background (probably cotton). Selvages on all panels with some looseness along bottom of several of the selvages. Side seams are open (could be easily sewn closed). Fairly even panel lengths. Fits over my 22" circumference head.
