Santiago Atitlan Woman's Huipil - Two-panel light blue background with dark blue stripes made on a back-strap loom. Interesting grey bird design brocaded into lighter base material. Colorful flowers surround the centered bird design, all hand embroidered. A significant amount of brillante (metallic) threads give the flowers an extra sparkle. Two panels selvage finished others nicely hemmed.
Condition: .Very good used huipil. Light even wear and very few loose threads.n.
2013: 2013: Bought from Dolores. Was huipil of her sister-in-law, Luisa Cajon Pablan.
