Nahuala 18" Doll Outfit --- hand-woven on a back-strap loom, these huipils have fine animal and geometric design patterns you see are brocaded (woven into) in the huipil.
Each outfit includes:
- Handwoven doll "huipil"
- Indigo "Corte" (skirt)
- Colorful sash "faja" (belt)
Other accessory items such as baskets, hammocks, necklaces, hats, slippers, shawls and other fun stuff are available for sale as accessories. We also have some children' s books on Guatemala and the Mayan culture available for sale (or you can find them at your local library).
| About the Weavers: Maria and her family are now making these beautiful doll huipils for Terra Experience a couple years ago. I have been buying adult-sized huipils from her and her family for maybe 15 years and visited her home several years ago. Her skirt material has been used to make most of Terra Experience's Nahuala skirts for many years. |
