Santiago Atitlan Woman's Huipil --- Beautiful hand embroidered birds and flowers around the neck of this Santiago Atitlan Huipil. Thread of the embroidery has some brillantte that gives it some sparkle. Light blue base material hand-woven on backstrap loom with lavender vertical stripes. Sides seams are open (could easily be sewn closed). Two of the bottom panel are selvage finished, the other two are fringed. Nicely finished neckline

Condition: Good used condition. The huipil shows some wear, a few loose threads and light spotting. Some stretch marks where fabric was stitched closed to form "sleeves" in the huipil
