Nahuala Woman's Huipil --- The finely woven 2-panel huipil is made on a backstrap loom. Maria told me the figure is a tiger. Also small geomorphic birds and animals in the very fine brocade (click on pictures for closeup). Indigo colored cotton with rose stripes.
Condition: Very good used. No bleeding with light wear. Two panels selvage finished, the other two hemmed.
Purchased from Maria in 2013. Maria told me this daily use huipil was made by her sister (or sister-in-law) Paulablo Ismaac.
