֍Traditional Crafts from Mexico and Central America, Florence Tempko, (1997), 66 pp. 14 oz --- [ages 8 to 10+], [Living Mayan Culture]
This is a "how to" book. If you want to figure out how to make traditional crafts from Mexico and Central America with kids this is a great book for you. There are good pictures and explanations for how to make 8 different crafts including Guatemalan weaving and Worry Dolls. The book lacks in depth discussion of how these crafts fit into the culture. There is a bibliography for further reading that includes many of the books Terra Experience sells. I'd also suggest Anderson's Mayan Arts & Crafts from Guatemala coloring book, Ronnie Cumming's Children of the World Guatemala, and Waterlow's A Family from Guatemala.
