Fun to wear, this red huipil was handwoven on a backstrap loom. Colorful flowers and geometric designs are hand-embroidered around the neck and at the shoulder opening. The panel ends are selvage finished. The coban huipil is traditionally worn by Qeqchi Mayan women, but has also been adopted many Mayan women who like to wear it on warmer days.
Condition: Very good like new condition. A few loose threads.
- Width: 34 inches shoulders
- Length: 23 inches
Weight: Approx .75 pound
* Remember the huipil's width should be at least 1.5 to 2 times your shoulders width, to allow for fitting your frame and to cover part of your upper arms.
