Patzun Woman's Huipil --- Nice hand-embroidered lavendar flowers on this used Woman's Huipil. The embroidery is well done with a ring of flowers around the finished neckline. This is a back-strap loomed double-paneled huipil with embroidered randa holding the two panels together. Nice tight selvage edges on the panel Click on pictures for a close up An older style with lighter red base material, very tight weave, small stripes with traditional green and blue on edges. Nice daily use huipil
Bought from Christolina in 2014 and made by her or a member of her family. She told me about 15 years old. I might guess a bit older.
Condition: A used huipil in good used condition with a few loose threads and light base wear. Randa at neckline has been opened about 1 inches (would be easy to open further if you need a larger neck hole, or stitch closed if you don't).
Length: 20 inches
Neck: 6 inches wide by 1 inches deep, 1" slit
Weight: 1.2 lbs.
* Remember the huipil's width should be at least 1.5 to 2 times your shoulders width, to allow for fitting your frame and to cover part of your upper arms.
