Corte - Multicolored Jaspe Skirt from San Juan Laguna Guatemala C_MJ_002

 San Juan La Laguna --- Two-panel foot-loomed cotton jaspe (ikat) skirt material probably  made in Totonicapan to be worn by Mayan women in Juan La Laguna.  Beautiful design with the narrow lines and jaspe colors currently typical of San Juan La Laguna. The skirt material is 39" wide (weft) by 88"x 2=172" long (warp).  The skirt  is used, in excellent, like new condition.   Bought from   Caterina's  daughter  in 2010, but just added to the web.   Weight: 3.75 lbs
