Corte - Indigo Morga Heavy Skirt Guatemala C_HM_018

Indigo Heavy Morga ---  This tube skirt Is a heavy weight indigo colored cotton morga probably from Santiago or San Juan Sacatapequez.  It has an attractive embroidered randa with celeste blue, violet, medium blue, and medium green. Bought in 2016.  The cotton skirt material was made on a treadle loom or foot-loom.  While the color is a beautiful dark indigo blue, it is probably a commercial dye. The dimensions of the skirt is 43" wide (weft)  by 72"x 2" = 144" long (warp). Durable heavy-weight cloth. The used skirt is in very good condition.

PS - I ran out of floor space when I was trying to picture this very long skirt.  It is draped over my couch so may look a bit strange.
