Chajul Huipil --- Double-headed eagle and corn Zoomorphic designs woven the brocade of this purple huipil with a nice "silky" thread that Mayan women favor (pearl cotton?). Double-panel huipil hand-woven on a back-strap loom with "Aleman" thread, making nice "soft texture". . Base color is a medium purple. Bought in 2015 from Ana.
Condition: Good with a few loose threads and light wear. Two panel edges with reasonably good selvages, other two with long fringe. Side seams are sewn closed .
