Huipil - Chichicastenango, Woman's H_CC_15_08

Chichicastenago Woman's Huipil ---   Striking geometric design and colors on this brocaded woman's huipil. Back-strap loomed, traditional 3-panel construction with black background (I am unsure if acrylic or cotton).   Sun design embroidered around head hole. Embroidered randa between panels. 

Condition: Good used condition with a few loose threads. Selvages on all panels with some looseness along bottom of  several of the selvages. One middle panel has some wear below brocade.  Side seams are open (could be easily sewn closed if preferred).  As with many Chichicastenago huipils, there is some unevenness to the length of the panels.  It could be hemmed to a even length, if desired.  Just barely fits over my 22" diameter head.
