Santiago Atitlan Woman's Huipil --- Hand embroidered Hawks and greenery around the neck of this Santiago Atitlan Huipil. Thread of the embroidery has some brillantte that gives it some sparkle. Light blue base material hand-woven on backstrap loom with lavender brown vertical stripes. Sides seams are open (could easily be sewn closed). Two of the bottom panel are selvage finished, the other two are hemmed.
Purchased from Antonio in 2017. She said about 25 years old.
Condition: Good used condition. The huipil shows some wear, a few loose threads and light spotting.
