Quetzaltenango (Xela) Guatemala Girl's Huipil --- Golden daily use 2-panel huipil from Xela. Base material is primarily cotton and probably woven on a floor loom in Totonicapan area for use in Quetzaltenago. The two two randas of down the front and flower decoration around the neck are typical of Quetzaltenago and are machine embroidered.
Condition: Good used condition, especially for a child's huipil. The huipil shows light wear and a few loose threads. Embroidery around neck has some wear. Sides seams open (could easily be sewn closed. Panels hemmed.
